Concept- Salamander

SO. I saw Hannah-Little's awesome portrait of Vesta with short hair and thought about the concept stuff I'd seen where she's trying to make a new suit for Salamander; I had flashbacks to the hell of trying to figure out what Titania's suit should look like (although I'm very happy with it now), and then looked the profile I was linearting. I offered to submit anything I thought of, although I hadn't thought of anything yet. 

And then suddenly I was really inspired, mournfully closed the profile that deeply wanted me to finish it, and began doodling some ideas I had. XD NO REGRETS.

(I always need something to kick off the inspiration, and in this case I literally looked up "Irish clothing" and I saw this gets pulled up. Somewhat impractical, but very pretty.)

About the actual art:
I finished the sketches, thought about lineart, and then decided to just color the sketch instead. Apologies. I technically made two options, but everything's really interchangeable between them, one just had a warmer brownish-redish tones and the other's grayer. And yes, I drew the left-(warm) one first then edited it into the right(-cold) one. Personally, I'm a bit on team "Pointy Firebender Shoe" but I may have a bias for pointy shoes. *cough*Imagine*cough* I also really like the triangle buttons, although I think they're more like clasps on this one. I'm also not certain how fire powers + gloves interact. Disaster? Nothing? I'm sure Hannah'll fill me in. On the mask thing, I personally lean towards either full mask or lower half mask; vertical half masks always remind me of the Phantom of the Opera. It is unavoidable (but not necessarily a bad thing ).

I looked up burn scars again, but couldn't bring myself to look at burned eyes soooo I just kinda didn't color them? Eeeeyyyyyyy.
